The Menu

Yep, another menu posting. You can tell when it's busy. House is proceeding as scheduled. The inspection was today, and only very minor things came up. We should be closing at the end of July. Very excited (and a little in shock).

And...

For dinner...

Well...

It IS Amirah's birthday (7!)...

So...

Hamburgers and french fries!
And challah and salad.
And dessert.

And for lunch...

challah
tilapia cakes w/special sauce
eggplant salad
stuffed cabbage (in bbq sauce)
sweet potato kugel
three-bean salad
orange cous cous salad
sun-dried polenta squares
lemon poppyseed cake
coconut cranberry pineapple sorbet

And lots of guests (but we won't eat them)...

Good shabbos, all!

Mazel tov on the house! That is such exciting news.

As ever, your menu postings tantalize and inspire me. How many hours do you typically spend each week on food prep for Shabbat?

Thanks, dearest Mildred. :)

Food prep is usually 2:00-6:00 on Friday w/interruptions and bath help. :) Baking is usually done earlier in the week. I used to do a dish or so a day until shabbat, so not much was left on Friday. Haven't gotten that rhythm back yet! :)

Impressive! Do you tend to freeze what you bake earlier in the week?

Yes, I definitely have freezing tendencies. Given that we have 3 freezers, it's an easy thing to do. :) :) :)
